What seems like various small pieces of transparent colored glass sometimes show an iridescent or metallic coating depending upon the light source and observation angle.

My Shadow Lines were designed to create colorful shadows on the wall behind them which vary throughout the day with the changing source of light

With direct spot light, the glass colors appear in the shadows on the wall behind the glass. Holes in the glass make the wall glass shadows look three dimensional.

With available natural light, there are only hints of shadows on the wall behind so the glass itself draws attention.

The setting sun changes the shadows to a muted effect, like speeding lights.

Each shadow line includes a small piece of dichroic coated glass. It appears differently when transmitting or reflecting light. Here on clear glass it shows blues and purple, while putting a hand behind the glass makes it reflect and metallic gold plus other colors.

To create the shadows, I had to invent a way to cantilever the glass off the wall.

To avoid screw holes, I only use two small nails.
